Interapt is looking for a Sales Engineer to join an exciting and fast-growing Sales team. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Sales Representative during pre-sales interactions with potential clients and will also meet regularly with the Services team to maintain awareness of the team’s capabilities, technologies, and bandwidth. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for drafting initial team allocation estimates for the VP of Services as part of the sales proposal process. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will share responsibility with the Sales Representative in documenting, maintaining, and practicing the various phases of the sales process.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the Sales team to document, maintain, and practice the Interapt sales process

  • Join the Sales Representative when meeting with clients to discuss prospective projects, provide technical details for the client as needed, and gather technical requirements to be used in sales proposals

  • Co-author sales proposals with the Sales Representative for delivery to potential clients

  • Draft initial team allocation estimates to be reviewed by the VP of Services and respective managers

  • Collaborate with the Services team to maintain awareness of the team’s current capabilities, technologies, and bandwidth

  • Assist in maintaining healthy and positive relationships with existing clients

  • Maintain and update client and project information in a CRM


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, CIS, Engineering, or Computer Science with 3+ years of experience in technical sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High-level working knowledge of mobile and web application development for enterprise environments

  • Awareness of the current technical landscape for mobile and web application development in enterprise environments

  • Ability to work closely with teams, individuals, and potential clients as well as the ability to work independently

  • Positive and outgoing attitude with a willingness to learn
